Welcome! OASIS Language Arts Tutorial Services provides high-quality, culturally relevant academic support services in writing, reading, and study skills to all UCSD college students while specializing in empowering UCSD’s diverse student population, particularly first-generation students, underserved and underrepresented minority students, low-income students, and English Language Learners. We are located on the 3rd floor of Center Hall and all of our services begin on Week 2 of each quarter.

2020 Summer Calendar Note: All LATS services will take place virtually, via Zoom, throughout the entire 2020 UCSD summer calendar (including Summer Bridge).

LATS Virtual 2020 Summer Support

Individual Tutoring: 

  • Starting Week 1 Friday, students can book virtual individual appointments
  • Reserve a 1-hour appointment with a tutor for writing or reading support 
  • Appointments can be made 30 minutes in advance
  • Virtual individual appointments occur from Weeks 2-10

Tutoring Expectations: 

  • Students must have materials ready (e.g. notes, syllabus) 
  • Tutors will support students at any stage of the writing process
  • Tutors will not engage in any work that should be done by the student
  • Tutors do not engage in any proofreading, grammar, and/or editing services 

Scheduling an appointment: 

  1. Complete a one-time registration
  2. Login and click on Limit To to select a course. If a course is not listed, email
  3. Click on an open white space and save the appointment. 

Joining the appointment: 

  1. Login and click on Start or Join Online Consultation 
  2. Zoom Meeting ID will be posted in WCOnline chat feature

Cancellation policy: Cancel your appointment at least two hours in advance. Cancellations made in less than two-hours will be considered late. Three late cancellations or no-shows may result in tutoring privileges being suspended for a limited time.
